bowties are cool

I've noticed a lot of really cool bow ties on the internetz lately. Have you seen the Forage ties? They're made from really great fabric, but I'm not going to pay that much for a bow tie when I have fabric and a sewing machine at my disposal. 

I printed off a free pattern from Burda Style. Now, this is the second tie I made from this pattern, so I actually narrowed the part where the bow is. 

The pattern only calls for interfacing on one side of the longer piece. I put it on both sides just for good measure.

Please don't hold me accountable for the sewing in this picture. Scott did it. He really wanted to help, and he did his best. 

He will look great for Dickens on the Strand tomorrow!
